LIHEAP Program Opens December 1st LIHEAP -- the Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program -- provides funds that help low-income households, avoid shutoff of utility services during the winter to maintain warm, safe, and healthy homes for young children, the elderly, and the disabled. Direct grants of funds to eligible families help make heating more affordable. LIHEAP season started on December 1st.  For more information click here.
