Community Action is a way of approaching poverty by helping people to help themselves. We serve thousands of people every year. We are proud of the number of people we serve and the different programs we operate, but those are just numbers.
Behind each number is a story - a family helped, a person sheltered or a senior fed.
We hope you enjoy this website. While here, you can get informed - about poverty, about our community and about the agency.

You can also get help here. We describe our programs and offer contact information. We have also provided a Service Link to organizations and services throughout the Peninsula. If we can't help you, chances are we know someone who can.
You will also find that you can get involved here. The people of Clallam and Jefferson counties are not poor in spirit and many of our citizens volunteer or donate to and through OlyCAP in support of their friends and neighbors here. You can get involved through the donation of your time or money or by lending your voice or your knowledge. You can help us to understand the needs and priorities of people in our community. There is a survey at the right of this page. Please don't hesitate to tell us what you think, via the survey or by emailing to us at info@olycap.org .
And, we thought you might like to know about the Mission and the Values that drive OlyCAP. These are the principles that guide us in the things we do every day.
Finally, above all, we are interested in our community. There are dozens of organizations in our area who depend upon the support of the community and volunteer help to bring services to others. All of us need friends and I would like to invite you to join OlyCAP or any agency of your interest and become a community builder. I can assure you that your service, your interest and your commitment do help and, collectively, we can make our community a better place to live.
